Having exchanged a daily commute crammed onto a subway for over an hour, for one that started out with a morning cruise across the Hudson, I wanted to create something special to share my appreciation.

The final design uses the shape of historic signage. The outer shape comes from road signs leading to the ferry landings, and the typography is inspired by historic ship liveries.
